Raj did his PhD (Marketing) in the consumer behavior domain from IIM Bangalore. He has taught for around four years in full-time faculty positions. The subjects he often teaches are marketing research, research methods, marketing management, brand management, and consumer behavior. Earlier, Raj did his MBA from IIMB and BTech. (Electrical) from NIT Rourkela.
As a marketing faculty, Raj has worked for several years in business schools. Before his career in academics, for long years, he worked as a marketing professional in sales (Wipro), advertising (JWT), and market research (MBL). He began his career as an electrical engineer (HAL).
Raj’s broad area of research is consumer decision making. Online buying, electronic word of mouth, and choice architecture are some of the topics he is currently researching for publications.
As an experienced marketing consultant, Raj has worked on a wide range of projects in the industry. As a consultant, he specializes in marketing research and advertising.
Raj has been consistently awarded merit scholarship during most of his academic career. He has also won awards as an advertising professional in the FMCG category and as a market research professional in the ad tracking specialization.
