Biography

Dr. Devansh Pandey is a faculty member in the Marketing area at the Indian Institute of Management Shillong. He holds a Ph.D. in Marketing from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur and an M.Tech. in Entrepreneurship and Innovations from the National Institute of Technology Durgapur, where he was awarded the Gold Medal by the Government of India for academic excellence.

Prior to joining IIM Shillong, Dr. Pandey served as an Assistant Professor at Jagan Institute of Management Studies (JIMS), Rohini. He was also associated with the NPTEL course on Consumer Behavior as a Teaching Assistant for three years, contributing significantly to content delivery and student engagement at scale.

He has delivered guest lectures at several premier institutions, including IIT Delhi, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Hyderabad, and NIT Durgapur. In addition to his academic pursuits, Dr. Pandey is the founder of a digital marketing company, reflecting his commitment to bridging academic insights with industry applications.

His research interests span consumer behavior, marketing strategy, and emerging technologies such as the Metaverse. His work has been published in reputed international journals, including the Journal of Services Marketing and the Journal of Marketing Theory and Practice. He has presented his research at the prestigious conference of Australian and New Zealand Marketing Academy (ANZMAC) and continues to contribute to the advancement of marketing theory and practice through impactful scholarship.
