Policy Analysis and Recommendations

Policy Analysis – In-order to understand the development paradigm and assess the performance metric, it is very essential to conduct a gap study. The centre has conducted a gap analysis of the 6 sectors. In this gap analysis an effort has been made to compare the current performance in the specific sector of a certain policy/scheme with its desired and expected performance as laid down in the objective. Through the gap analysis the centre could recognise the current state of the sector and the impact the policy/scheme has created. Certain tool list SWOT and PEST analysis were used to ascertain the gap analysis.

Policy Recommendations- The centre has undertaken an extensive study to understand the anomalies in the existing schemes, policies and acts related to 6 sectors. A comprehensive report with critical interventions in the form of policy recommendations has been submitted to concerned sectoral advisors of NEC. These recommendations would provide the concern agencies a significant amount of understanding of ground realities which will be helpful in further policy planning and formulation.
