About ICEP – Call for Papers

ICEP 2023 aims to provide an occasion for academicians, policymakers, and professionals from various functional domains and institutes to join and exchange ideas and expertise. This will enable us to cultivate knowledge on various aspects of a resilient economy. It serves as a platform for academicians and professionals with interdisciplinary interests in diversified fields of economics and public policy to interact with members within and outside their own disciplines.

ICEP-2023 welcomes papers in all categories related to economics, public policy, and allied areas such as finance, banking, and the environment. The possible topics for conference papers include, but are not limited to, the conference themes.

Submissions and Publication Opportunities

Papers should be thought-provoking and based on current research. The titles should be brief. Although there is no word limit, concise papers are encouraged. Papers will be accepted for presentation based on blind reviews.

The selected papers will be published in the IIMS Journal of Management Science after the required rounds of the peer review process or in edited books.

Registration Fees

  • Ph.D. Scholars (India): INR 2000
  • Academicians (India): INR 3000
  • Policymakers and Corporate Participants: INR 5000
  • International Participants: USD 150

The fee includes charges for breakfast, lunch, dinner, conference kit, and transportation from the city to campus.

A scanned copy of the transaction details is to be emailed along with the name of the author and title of the paper.

Once paid, the fee will not be reimbursed.

Submission Guidelines

  • The full paper should be submitted in docx, or pdf format on EasyChair platform or through email at icep@iimshillong.ac.in
  • Papers submitted for the conference should be in English, using Times New Roman font, size 11, and typed in double-spaced
  • The following items should be included on the first page of the submitted paper:
    • A cover page displaying the manuscript title, author’s name, affiliation, full address, and email ID, including any acknowledgments
    • An abstract of up to 300 words
    • Five or fewer keywords and JEL Codes
  • Section headers should be left-justified with Arabic numerals. Only the first word of the headers should be Headers should be in boldface, and subheads should be in italics. The structure of the paper should tentatively follow the following sections:
    • Introduction: Rationale and Objectives
    • Review of Literature: Systematic review of existing studies
    • Research Methodology: Data Source & Model Specification
    • Results and Findings
    • Summary and Conclusions
    • Annexures (if any)
  • Mathematical notations, tables, and figures should be clearly explained within the text.
  • Footnotes and references should be incorporated into the text sequentially

There is limited accommodation available with IIM Shillong. Accommodation will be provided on a first come first serve basis with charges of:
